My current research aims to examine and understand public perceptions and attitudes toward the use of ammonia for energy power, distribution and storage.
This presentation aims to introduce for the first time the results from the analysis regarding people’s initial responses when presented with the idea of ammonia as an energy vector and for energy storage.
Throughout a cross-national study employing focus groups and surveys in the UK and Mexico we were able to analyse and gain a better understanding of general public attitudes towards green ammonia.
Additionally, perceptions of several topics like climate change, pro-environmental behaviour and green fuels, were examined in parallel to understand a possible correlation. “Are people who are more worried about climate change more likely to feel positive about ammonia/support ammonia?”
